Our 40th Reunion was held on
August 12, 13 & 14, 2011 All that attended appeared to have a very good time! For those of you that missed it - We missed you... To a certain extent!!! Here was the itinerary: COCKTAIL PARTY Friday Evening -- August 12th -- 7:00PM to ??? Portside Bar and Grill 242 Traders Cv, Port Jefferson, NY 11777 631-509-1659 A It was casual evening of socializing with old friends. Drinks flowed freely and there were many laughs! DINNER DANCE Saturday Evening -- August 13th -- 7:00 to 12:00AM Polish American Independent Club 35 Jayne Boulevard, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776 631-473-9807 "The Main Event" The Polish American Independent Club offered a wonderful venue for our 40th Reunion's - If I must say, the Committee really did a fine job on decorating the hall. The food and company were excellent! A little dancing to music of "our" era… Great fun!!! Click here for a map. POOL PARTY - BARBEQUE/PICNIC Sunday Afternoon -- August 14th -- 1:00PM to 6:00PM Lynn (Prochilo) & Terry Burke's House Port Jefferson - In View of Our Alma Mater! (Park in the ELVHS teacher's parking lot, you'll see the signs to it). This was a wind-down informally party - Originally it was ment to be a party pool side - But, that day we had record breaking rainfall!!! While originally the event was to be cancelled if it rained, Lynn & Terry mad the decision that said they would still have it - Rain or Shine! And, so we did! Terry cooked 'burgers and hot dogs under the umbrella on the deck while about 30 classmates socialized inside. A wonderful end to a fine weekend!!! OTHER STUFF… As part of the "package" we'll also provided each classmate with an assortment of goodies to remember the weekend and our years at ELVHS! Some of the things included a Journal with classmates' contact information and what they have been up to for the past 40 years, a DVD of our Senior Class Trip to Washington D.C., and a 3-disc CD set of Music of the Class of '71. The price for all this fun was only $85.00 per person.
